Council Update as of May 6, 2020: Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, the council has had to postpone earlier plans to host our dinner and program on June 3. Over the coming weeks and months, we will be in touch with our members both regarding dues renewal (including adjustments) and a reschedule of the Business Succession Panel which is now expected to move to a November date. Due to a multitude of statewide events having to be cancelled and rescheduled (to fall and winter month's) for the 2020-2021 dues year, we may have to consider days of the week other than Wednesdays. We will be updating all about next year's dates and locations just as soon as we are able to confirm them.
Welcome to the website of the New Hampshire Estate Planning Council. If you are looking for an estate planner, you’ve come to the right place. The Council can connect you with an estate planner who is a member in good standing of our local council.
We maintain a database of our members in order to help simplify your search for a qualified estate planner; please see the Member Directory tab. Most members adhere to the concept of the team approach in estate planning so your plan may be considered by a team of professionals of your choosing.
If you are an estate planning professional, who is not yet a member, we extend an invitation to you to learn more about our local estate planning council which has a membership of over 220 professionals. Local estate planning councils are required to have members representing, at minimum, four primary disciplines: attorneys, accountants, trust officers and life underwriter/financial planning professional. The Council, also includes other related disciplines such as non-profit development and planned giving specialists. We believe that maintaining a membership in an affiliated local council is critical to your professional development and we encourage you to join.
The Council has posted the latest information on upcoming meetings and events. In addition, information pertaining to meeting sponsorship, website advertising and vendor display tables is available by clicking on the "Documents" button on the left side of this page. This will provide you and your firm with the opportunity to gain exposure to our members.
Any current member may sponsor a new member or bring a guest to a meeting. A membership application is available for printing from this website by clicking on "Application Form" or by calling our administrative offices at 603-228-1231.
I look forward to your active participation at upcoming meetings and to being your President during 2019-2020.
